Lead and evolved the Austin based risk engineering platform team through its growth from 5 to 30 managers and engineers
delivering java/Oracle based services and capabilities to facilitate fraud detection in the real time transactional flow.
- Austin Risk PD Site Lead for 3 Managers and 30 Individual contributors responsible for a diverse set of applications and
technologies aligned to the collection, analysis, simulation and decisioning of very large real time data streams.
- Managed the design, implementation, and delivery of the next generation risk platform. This was a large and
complex green field development program on a Java/Oracle platform that went across multiple development, business, and operational teams.
- Initially hired to grow a new development team from 5 to 12 while managing the delivery of a software integration project to maximize the business
value of a PayPal acquisition. This was one of PayPal's first projects to utilize a Java technology stack as opposed to the historic C++ applications.
This project required managing resources in both San Jose and Austin while working with a peer development team in Israel.

Managed multiple teams responsible for 2 current and 2 legacy products representing over $15 million in revenue with distributed team of 17 individual contributors.

Built the software development team from one to seven prior to the Applied Materials acquisition. Grew the development team for the start-up,
and delivered a product that attracted a buyer to the company in under 2 years. Served instrumentally in building the data analysis engine,
the web-based interface, and the data warehouse platform that helped sell the company for about $10 million.
ClearCommerce Corporation, Software Components Development Manager
Led 15 people in enhancing the ClearCommerce Merchant Hosting Engine with risk and fraud detection products and components with complex,
user-defined rules, rule-based decision trees, and neural analysis scoring systems.
Utilized a web- based user interface for merchant configuration and control along with back-end applications such as shipping and tax calculators.
